TrekStar Installation Participation Notes
*All ages are welcome to participate and collaborate, BUT children must be supervised - particularly with the hot glue guns and materials like plastic which can become sharp after cutting!
*Materials will be provided BUT you are welcome to bring more stuff!
*There will be a “take-apart” section if you just like to dismantle old electronics and toys!
*There will be wet paint in a (hopefully) controlled section of the ‘making’ area and it will probably be HOT in our making space, so please DRESS accordingly and appropriately.
*Space will be a tad limited so your patience may be required. Participants are welcome to come see what we are up to and make something at home to add to the installation. Yay!!!
*Just a few teasers on some of the creative items needed for the installation: space food, “things that can be seen out the front window of a spaceship (rockets, planets, other spaceships/UFOs, Mary Poppins, space debris, etc.),” portrait gallery of past captains, robot helpers, control panels, “space specimens - miniature creatures collected over the years by TrekStar crew members”, …….well, you get the idea!!!!! This is going to be a heck of a lot of fun!!!!!!!
Now Showing in Curious Collections through October 11, 2025
Come see what the “Alligator Lady” of Kansas City created, collected and cared for, during her very memorable life!!!!!
